Durante il suo peregrinare incontrerà diversi personaggi : una strega cattiva e un mago gentile, una donna coraggiosa e un principe leale, e tanti altri.
Imparerà cosa significhino le gioie e i dolori dell’essere mortali, fino a giungere al castello di un re triste e crudele, dove si compiranno tutti i destini.
Questo è sicuramente uno dei più bei romanzi fantasy che siano mai stati scritti a mio parere. È condito di ironia, malinconia, bellezza, amore, rimpianto e meraviglia.
