Racconto che rielabora in chiave narrativa i poemi perduti del ciclo troiano ed in particolare quelli che narrano i ritorni degli eroi della guerra di Troia.
Su Aiace Oileo si abbatte l’ira di Poseidone, Agamennone viene ucciso dalla moglie Klitemnestra e dall’amante Egisto ed Ulisse non fa ritorno in patria sparito chi sa dove (Il ritorno di Ulisse è narrato in Il mio nome è Nessuno. Il ritorno). Particolare enfasi è posta sulle peregrinazioni di Diomede che, tradito e odiato dalla moglie, è costretto a fuggire da Argo e cercare una nuova patria nelle terre inospitali di Hesperia (che poi sarebbe l’Italia).
La fine delle sue avventure è sancita dalla conquista di un nuovo regno ma la pace raggiunta non impedirà che si compia la tragedia dell’ultimo eroe omerico.

This tale reinterprets in a narrative key the lost poems of the Trojan cycle, particularly those that recount the returns of the heroes of the Trojan War.
Ajax the Lesser is struck by the wrath of Poseidon, Agamemnon is killed by his wife Clytemnestra and her lover Aegisthus, and Odysseus does not return home, disappearing who knows where (The return of Odysseus is narrated in “My Name is Nobody: The Return”). Particular emphasis is placed on the wanderings of Diomedes, who, betrayed and hated by his wife, is forced to flee from Argos and seek a new homeland in the inhospitable lands of Hesperia (which would later become Italy).
The end of his adventures is marked by the conquest of a new kingdom, but the achieved peace will not prevent the tragedy of the last Homeric hero from being fulfilled.
